Dear Friends and Neighbors,  Come and march with Representative Sandy Masin on Tuesday 4th of July Parade in Eagan! As in prior years, the City of Eagan celebrates July 4th with a PARADE!!! And again, we are in this parade. Please come and show Rep. Sandy Masin that you stand with her, that you appreciate the work she does on our behalf in the Capitol in St. Paul. The Line Up: Along Yankee Doodle Road between Hwy 13 and Blue Cross Drive. Line up starts at 9:30am and the Parade will start PROMPTLY at 10:00am. Parade Route: The Parade Route follows Yankee Doodle east to Central Parkway and it ends there. (There is construction on Central Parkway rendering it unusable for parade and viewing.) Short, but sweet!!! Click on the image to enlage  Access to the Line up Area: if you are coming from Cedar or Highway 77, take Hwy 13, go north to Blackhawk Rd, turn right on Blackhawk Rd and go to Blue Cross Rd. You a can only go left on Blue Cross Rd., and it goes to Yankee Doodle where the Line up are is. If you use 35E use Diffley Rd. to exit. Coming north on 35E, get off at Diffley and turn left onto Diffley, then proceed to Backhawk Rd. and turn right. If you are coming south on 35E get off at Diffley, and turn right onto Diffley then proceed to Blackhawk Dr. and turn right. Stay on Blackhawk to Blue Cross Drive on the right side, Turn right and proceed to Yankee Doodle where the Line up area is. From 35E to the Line up area is about 2.5 miles away. If you use Hwy 13, be advised that Yankee Doodle WILL BE CLOSED at Hwy 13, so go to Blackhawk Rd. which is one block south of Yankee Doodle. Proceed to Blue Cross Drive, turn into it and go to Yankee Doodle to the line up area - see above. Parking at the Line Up Area: Use the Blue Cross parking lot. Parking at the End of the Parade: The city has not provided specific instructions at this moment so we will provide them on the http://masin4rep.org/ website as soon as we get them. PARADE MARCHERS: Keep The Pace: The parade route is not strenuous, and the Parader units are expected to keep pace! Organizers point out that we lose audience where there are gaps between units. We encourage all marchers in our group to wear the  GREEN Masin t-shirt - we then stand out nicely as a block! We may have some t-Shirts available at the line up if you do not have a Masin t-shirt. If you wish to just view the Parade and not march - go for it - you now know the route and the time and how to get there! Bring a Hat - Protect yourself and your skin from Sun Exposure: You know best how sensitive your skin is - PLEASE TAKE CARE OF IT.
