The Great Minnesota Get Together - Bus Transit to Minnesota Fair Dear Neighbors,
With the Minnesota State Fair now open, The Great Minnesota Get-Together is the largest state fair in the country, with numbers of attendees reaching a quarter million people a day in some cases.
Getting to the fair can be a real hassle, but luckily we have the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority providing express bus service to and from the Burnsville and Eagan Transit stations and the fair. The Burnsville Transit Station is located at the intersection of Highway 13 and Nicollet Avenue and the Eagan Transit Station is at the intersection of Pilot Knob and Yankee Doodle.
Each weekday, MVTA buses will leave hourly from 8:00am at Burnsville and from 10:00am at Eagan, traveling to the Fairgrounds until 7:00pm. Buses return from the Fairgrounds from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
On weekends and Labor Day, buses will leave Burnsville and Eagan every 30 minutes from 8:00am to 7:00pm and return every 30 minutes from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
This round-trip service is provided for the low price of $5 for all riders over 5 years old. Children under 5 ride free. The bus will only accept exact cash, and no change can be provided.
